Our State is Going to Pot

Sorry to have been away so long, but I was fighting the war on Christmas by making my own gifts for family members.  I wrote out scripture in calligraphy on parchment, and I made sure to pick scripture that communicated (not so subtly) how the various members of my family were failing in the eyes of God.

But now that Christmas is over, and the drunken unsaved are ready to wake me up with their firecrackers, loud music, and ungodly midnight sexual rituals; I am engaging in the war for our nation’s soul.

While I was away, the Godless secularists in state government were hard at work.  Thankfully Gary Randall didn’t rest and is once again calling them out for their insane plan to legalize marijuana in Washington State:

Under the bill, customers, 21 and older, will buy marijuana at the 160 state run liquor stores and will pay a tax of 15% per gram. Her plan will dedicate most of the money raised to substance-abuse prevention and treatment.

So the state legalizes and sells more addictive drugs so they can help those who are addicted.

Forget for the moment that marijuana is a proven gateway drug and is harmful to an individuals health.

Well we all know that forgetfulness is one of the signs of wacky-tobaccy abuse, but on this subject forgetfulness is important for those of us who serve the Lord and not some jazz inducing Mexican devil weed.  Because we need to forget that the main reason for pot being a  ”proven gateway drug” is that is sold on the same illegal market as pot.  We also must forget legalization does not equal an increase in consumption since, let’s face i,t pot is so easy and cheap to get, that users have their non-using friends hold it for them (according to my teenage son after I put his socks away in his top drawer).  We also need to forget that legalization would actually make it easier for us to keep the drug out of the hands of our teen, as sale would be controlled in the state’s liquor stores.

Forget all that because we all know that pot is the source of the liberal-hippy ideology.  We need to keep drugs illegal, because without them who’s stories of Christ inspired recovery would we watch on the 700 Club?
